SYMBIOTIC
After a lot of frustration and experimentation I finally got the monitor to display the same color temperature setting as what I was seeing on the lcd. Believe me when I say I was getting mad that after setting my camera and using custom white balances...that the images were perfect on the lcd but not on the monitor...I manually set the Spyder calibrator (which wanted to set at 5000 Kelvin on automatic) to make the monitor set to 5800 kelvin to match the lcd. The more you begin to notice these issues and with the application of additional e
Tell a story...
When you get to the point that you can beat the camera's automatic setting while shooting on manual with the right application of light and technique it feels as if you've crossed a great divide. It's ok to practice technique to a fine art but then one begins to see that the image must tell a story. You begin to see behind the curtain and realize that the best images are those that inspire wonder and awe. No matter the source of the idea you must carry that idea to complete fruition. It's like ripping one image from a movie no matter the theme, genre, or style. What you are left with is a slice of art that exists frozen for all time. If you'v
